Transitioning Families from Hopelessness to Success

Things don’t always go as planned. ASAP Family Service’s Mission is to step in and help out those individuals and families that have taken a bad turn. The organisation follows three basic steps to trasition these families from hopeless to success:

Provide Sanctuary:

Many of the clients we support have nothing. In order to start the healing process, we supply them with basic necessities for living:

Family Housing- our housing supports several families living together as a community.

Food and Clothing- generous donations supply food and clothing.

Structure and Security- house rules and curfews keep our clints focused on regaining their Independence.

Coach Life Skills:

This is the backbone of our programs. Clients have an individual plan and goals to achieve while they are in the program.

Connect with the community- Volunteer programs to tech skills and instill self worth are offered.

Respect for self and others- ASAP offers personal style classes, yoga and meditation, parenting skills, and help with medical and dental resources.

Career Development- Resume building, dress for success, interviewing and computer skills, and STAR employees skills are taught to the clients.

Empowering Independance

The final step in the process involves assistance in transitioning to an independent lifestyle, follow up programs, and mentor ship.
